Rome, GA – Two-Vehicle Crash on GA-140 & Old Dalton Rd Leads to Injuries
Rome, GA (September 8, 2021) – At 1:47 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 8, a two-vehicle crash with injuries occurred in Rome.
According to Floyd County Police, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-140 and Old Dalton Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time. This caused the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Several victims were injured as a result of the accident. The victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals by medical helicopter. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
